Summer Solstice Moon Water Ritual
This ritual is gentle and simple, but is a potent way to aligned with the rhythms of Mother Nature. Let it be slow, sensory, and full of your reverence for the earth.
What You’ll Need:
A large bowl or jar of fresh spring or clean water
A few fragrant summer herbs or flowers (like rose, yarrow, lavender, lemon balm, or mint)
A quiet outdoor space or windowsill for moonlight exposure
Your voice + your intention
Evening Before the Solstice:
Gather Plants with Blessings
Harvest or gather your chosen herbs with care and gratitude. Begin to tare the plants into small pieces and then, as you place each one into the water, speak a blessing:
"May this rose bring love."
"May this mint bring clarity."
"May this yarrow offer protection."Infuse with Intention
Sit with the water and whisper your solstice prayer or a simple intention like:
"I welcome the light. I receive the season’s gifts."Soak in the Moonlight
Leave your bowl outside or on a windowsill to soak overnight in the moonlight. Let the water absorb the wisdom of the plants and the balancing energy of the moon for this season.
On the Day of the Solstice:
Morning Ritual Bath
At sunrise or any quiet moment, take the bowl of infused water and step outside or into a sacred space. Pour the water gently over your head and body as a blessing.May it Be So: Let it wash away the old, cool the fire, and invite the light in.
